- Discussion on revitalizing the defense industry and cooperation strategies with 84 partner companies in the Jeonbuk region

 - Plans to expand commercialization outcomes through linkage with the 2026 Defense Venture Support Program

Sigetronics Co., Ltd., a semiconductor device specialist, is accelerating its entry into the defense market as a key partner in the defense industry ecosystem in the Jeonbuk region.

Sigetronics announced that it attended the “Jeonbuk Defense Venture Center Partner Companies Meeting” held on March 5 at the main auditorium of the Jeonbuk Technopark, where participants discussed strategies to revitalize the regional defense industry and facilitate entry into the defense market.

The meeting, hosted by Jeonju City and the Jeonbuk Defense Venture Center, was attended by executives and employees from 84 partner companies, including Sigetronics.

The event was organized to strengthen cooperation networks among companies and explore practical support measures to help SMEs and venture firms expand into the defense sector.

Linking Defense Support Programs and Strengthening Security Capabilities

The event began with a presentation on the achievements of the partner company council, followed by sessions on:

 - Support programs for SMEs and venture companies by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA)

 - Introduction to the 2026 Defense Venture Support Program

 - Prevention and response strategies for cybersecurity threats to SMEs (such as hacking emails)

 - Presentations of best practices from partner companies

Through this meeting, Sigetronics discussed strategies to link various support programs provided by DAPA and the Defense Venture Center with its proprietary technologies, aiming to enhance its potential for entry into the defense market and maximize commercialization outcomes.

Building a Cooperative Model for the Regional Defense Industry Ecosystem

The meeting also provided an opportunity to share successful cases from outstanding defense companies in the Jeonbuk region and to build a strong collaboration network among partner companies. This is expected to serve as a driving force not only for the growth of individual companies but also for enhancing the overall competitiveness of the regional defense industry.
