Sigetronics has opened a metropolitan office at the Korea Nano Technology Institute.
Specialized semiconductor company Sigetronics (Co-CEOs Kyu-Hwan Shim and Deok-Ho Cho) announced on the 29th that it has opened a new metropolitan office at the Korea Nano Technology Institute located in Gwanggyo, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province on the 28th.
The new office will house research and development (R&D) and sales and marketing personnel. By establishing a forward-deployed base in the Seoul metropolitan area, the company expects tangible benefits such as advanced technology development, recruitment of key talent, and close customer engagement.
In particular, Sigetronics plans to further enhance its competitiveness through joint efforts with the Korea Nano Technology Institute, with which it has maintained a long-standing partnership, especially in nano devices, gallium nitride (GaN) epitaxy, and power semiconductors.
Founded in 2008 in Wanju, North Jeolla Province, Sigetronics operates its own multi-project fab (M-FAB) and focuses on the development and supply of key products such as electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection devices, optical sensors, and power semiconductors, based on silicon (Si) substrates.
The company was listed on the KOSDAQ last year and is actively investing in the mobility and wearable sectors to commercialize next-generation semiconductor devices as part of its ongoing growth strategy.
