Sigetronics announced on the 13th that it is advancing its business structure to align with the emerging era of **Physical AI**, where robots, autonomous vehicles, and smart factories can perceive, make decisions, and operate autonomously in real-world environments.

As the Physical AI industry expands into defense, aerospace, healthcare, and other sectors, demand is rapidly increasing not only for computing semiconductors but also for specialized semiconductors such as sensors that perceive external environments and protection devices that safeguard power systems and electronic equipment. In response, the company has established a business model that maintains its ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection device business as a stable source of revenue while reinvesting the generated cash flow into high-growth areas such as optical sensors and customized semiconductor foundry services.

In particular, the optical sensor business has emerged as a key growth driver. Sigetronics has expanded its portfolio of optical sensor products for applications including healthcare, smartphones, LiDAR, and robotic vision. The company has also begun mass production and supply to global optical sensor manufacturers such as Everlight and Lite-On, demonstrating its technological capabilities and product quality.

To meet growing market demand, Sigetronics is also expanding its manufacturing capacity. Its **M-FAB** is a flexible manufacturing platform capable of processing a wide range of materials and fabrication processes within a single production line. This enables the company to provide a one-stop solution covering product design, development, packaging, and mass production, creating a strong foundation for securing long-term supply agreements with global customers.

Looking ahead, Sigetronics aims to evolve beyond a conventional semiconductor manufacturer into an **AI-specialized semiconductor platform company** by offering integrated sensor and power semiconductor solutions. Through continued expansion of its global customer base and proactive investment in production facilities, the company plans to establish a customized semiconductor ecosystem by 2030.

Kyu-Hwan Shim, CEO of Sigetronics, stated, *"We have established a platform capability that enables integrated manufacturing of ESD/TVS protection devices and optical sensors, from wafer fabrication to packaging. Leveraging our EPI-based multi-channel TVS platform, we will provide customized protection solutions for mobile, automotive, industrial automation, and various other applications while expanding our market share."*
